Band Introduction

• Engulfed in the energy and richness of The Full
  Count Big Band
• sound, audiences enjoy a refreshing departure
  from the
• American pop music scene. If you havent tried
  big band music
• lately, youre missing a great experience!
• Established in 2003, Full Count Big Band is a
  professional division
• of the New Jersey Workshop for the Arts based in
  Westfield New
• Jersey.
• Under the direction of Ken Fink this band thrives
  on sharing the
• big band sound with diverse audiences. To reach
  young
• musicians as well as the greatest generation,
• Full Count is available to play public
  promotional
• affairs such as street fairs and public concerts
• targeting a specific era. Full count can also
  make
• a unique and lasting impression for private
  parties,
• swing dances, weddings, society and corporate
  functions.

Band Bio

• Full Count Big Band is a contemporary big band.
  It boasts the
• bold and rich harmonies of five saxes, four
  trombones, five
• trumpets, and the full dynamic play of a jazz
  rhythm ensemble of
• piano, bass, drums and guitar. New for 2007, the
  band has added
• the vocal talents of Aubrey Parasolle, a
  tremendous young vocalist.
• You havent heard this much energy in one
  performance in a long
• time, rest assured
• Ken Fink is the Full Count Big Band Music
  Director. Ken has played
• with notable musicians and groups all over the
  world and his
• musical presentation is grounded in variety.
• Band styles represented are Duke Ellington, Count
  Basie, Stan
• Kenton, and Buddy Rich to name a few. From
  nostalgia to modern
• jazz, the sounds come alive when Kenny counts off
  the first tune.
• Appreciative audiences travel the calendar from
  the 40's and 50's to
• the 80's and 90's when introduced to the
  arrangements of funk
• groups like Tower of Power and the RB of Earth,
  Wind and Fire!

Kudos, Raves Thanks!

• To all of you wonderful musicians who gave my
  parents and my family the night of
• all nights. My toes are still throbbing from
  dancing, and many of our guests were
• able to visit a time in their lives that made
  them feel young again. Many of our
• crowd were 60-70ish and danced the night away.
  Even my teenage children began
• dancing in the era of big band and came home and
  admitted what a wonderfully
• memorable fun evening they had. (Even their
  boyfriends admitted the same).
• We knew this would be the most profound part of
  our affair and were willing to
• develop our party around Full Count. You did not
  let us down, and we thank you
• sincerely. We will be looking forward to
  following your event schedule and if ever
• you may need a recommendation...we will sing your
  praises. It takes an awful lot
• to surprise my dad, and you made our night, just
  seeing the expression on his face
• when he saw the stage of musicians.

Kudos, Raves Thanks!

• There are no words to say thank you for the
  fabulous music we all enjoyed last
• evening. We are still on cloud 9 and the guests
  could not get over all of
• you. We are so very deeply appreciative for all
  of your talent and for tolerating only
• fans to keep you cool.
• Although my parents knew there was a party, they
  did not know any details, they
• were both astounded when they saw and heard the
  band. We are grateful beyond
• words. If ever we can give you a reference,
  please call on any one of us.

Now Featuring Jazz Vocalist Aubrey Parasolle

• With her thick, low alto tone and heavy swing
  rhythm, Aubrey Parasolles voice emotes a quality
  akin to jazz singers who have been singing for
  decades. However, once one sees her edgy hair,
  petite stature, and hears her live, they know
  that this 24 year-old is not the average jazz
  performer.
