MISSION STATEMENT

• TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE SOCIAL, PHYSICAL,
  EDUCATIONAL, CULTURAL AND GENERAL WELL BEING OF
  THE GROSSE ILE COMMUNITY AND TO PRESERVE THE
  NATURAL LANDSCAPE AND ENVIRONMENT.

• Planning is imperative to survival
• To assist the Township in identifying recreation
  needs
• To assist in determining best methods to improve
  facilities programming
• To be eligible for grants Wayne County Rec.
  Millage
• To ensure residents receive optimal benefits from
  the recreation department
