Lab 1-4 Constructing a Field Map

• Take out the lab on Constructing a Field Map.

• Start by choosing a value which is in the middle
  near the middle.
• Huh?
• In other words you want a value that is both
  away from the edges and in the middle of the
  range of values on this map.
• This will give you the best chance of starting
  with a complete line.
• Find all the 22 degrees marks darken them with
  pencil.

USE PENCIL!

• Not enough points to get a good pattern?
• Add some data points.
• Just because there are no more 22s doesnt mean
  they dont exist.
• 22 belongs between 21 and 23, (etc.).

• Now connect the dots with a smooth curve.

• Do not go past the edge of your map. You have no
  data from which to make a pattern.

• Now go to the next higher or lower value.
