2Targets 4 year olds that meet one or more of the
following criteria
- Children eligible for free or reduced meals
- Children with limited English proficiency
- Children of active duty military
- Children of single parents
- Children of teen parents
- Children of parents lacking GED/H.S.Diploma
- Children with identified developmental delay
- SRS referrals / Foster Care
3Program Components
- Intensive early education programs with highly
trained and experienced early education staff - Collaborative professional development
opportunities focusing on early literacy and
overall health and development - Early literacy and program partnerships with
families - Family Services Worker support for children and
families - consultation with staff related to behavioral
and social-emotional issues and needs.
4Program Objectives
- Acquisition of school readiness skills through
research-based early childhood programs - Comprehensive system of assessment and
developmental monitoring activities - Universal system of professional development to
support the learning needs of all children. - Families engage in behaviors that will increase
their childs readiness for school. - Families access essential services and resources.

relationships before K-12 school experience
begins
