• The employment for massage therapists is supposed
  to be increasing in 20 percent in the next seven
  years.
• The increased interest in alternative medicine
  and healing will translate into new openings for
  those that are skilled in or about to go into
  massage therapy.
• Demand for massage therapy is presently greatest
  among young adults, and they are hopefully likely
  to continue to like the benefits as being a
  massage therapist as they get older.

Job Description

• Most massage therapists work 35 to 40 hours a
  week, although a self-employed worker may work
  longer hours.
• A massage session can be from 10 minutes to 2
  hours.
• The workweek usually includes evenings and
  weekends, which are usually the busiest times for
  massage therapists.

• -It's often one of the 'luxuries' that people
  give up.
• -If you aren't careful to 'refill' yourself by
  getting worked on yourself, you tend to get
  filled with the negatives from your clients.
• -If you get stuck working in a spa setting, you
  can feel like you work very hard and too rushed
  and lose that good feeling towards your career.

• I choose this profession because it seems like a
  fun, easy, and relaxing job.
• It is a good paying job for individuals that are
  good with their hands.
• You are in a very laid back environment and great
  for just being relaxed and not coming home
  stressed.
