Title: Tower of London
1Tower of London
2Kensington Palace we sampled High Tea here in
the afternoon
3The Robin Hood Pub in Barrow-in-Furness, England.
This pub is one my maternal ancestors ran in the
1870s. Barrow-in-Furness is located in the Lakes
district, on the northwestern coast of England on
the Irish Sea.
4This is the Kings Arms pub, also run by my
maternal ancestors in Barrow-in-Furness during
the 1870s.
5The location of my Great-Grandparents home in
Barrow-in-Furness. My Grandma George spent her
earliest years here before immigrating with her
family to the United States and settling in
Cleveland, Ohio.
6The Amstel Botel a floating boat hotel on the
Amstel River in Amsterdam, Holland, at night. We
stayed here two nights.
7A very old draw bridge in Amsterdam, Holland.
8The Berlin symphony concert hall where we saw a
performance of Baroque music one evening.
9This is just one example of Germanys World Cup
enthusiasm many statues and buildings were
decorated. My favorite World Cup item was the
World Cup Advent Calendar where one could punch
open the calendar doors and eat the chocolate
that corresponded with the losing teams from that
days matches until the final match.
10A very cool life-size chess match.
11Enjoying a stop on the Munich Beer Brewery
walking Tour.
12This is the Hauptbrauhaus (main brewing house) in
Munich, Germany. Pictured are very coveted spaces
in which individuals are allowed to keep on
location their beer steins under lock key. One
cannot simply buy a spot these are passed down
by generations of family members in wills and
bequeaths.
13The Neuschwanstein Castle located in the German
Alps. Too pretty to believe. Sleeping Beautys
house was based on this castle.
14Tom having fun on a rest point during the Sound
of Music Tour near Salzburg, Austria.
15On the plane at Gatwick, ready to head home. Here
we are happy, tired (I was sick), and certainly
with fewer dollars (or is it Pounds? Euros?) in
our pockets.
