To accelerate the use of entrepreneurship
knowledge among students, entrepreneurs,
professionals and educators regarding opportunity
recognition and actions for creating, refounding
and growing successful enterprises and to
highlight the critical importance of
entrepreneurship to local and global quality of
life.

4Most exciting activity? For graduate students
interested in biotechnology, our popular
Bio-Entrepreneurship program combines the full
Bioengineering curriculum, 5 Entrepreneurship
courses and a thesis related to technology
commercialization.
5Biggest challenge Our biggest challenge relates
to human capitalfinding ways to ensure that
faculty and staff are not spread too thin
given academic programs at the Ph.D., MBA, and
undergraduate levels combined with numerous broad
community outreach programs.
6New initiatives Our current push is to expand
upon our BioEntrepreneurship program and spread
Entrepreneurship across the Universityinto other
Engineering programs as well as Pharmacy,
Medicine, Nursing and Liberal Arts. We are
strengthening ties between the Business School,
the Office of Technology Management, and the
campus technology incubator
