Academic Policies
  • With the implementation of iSIS, faculty will
    have not lost any control of the academic
    policies or responsibilities assigned to them.
    Academic policies and procedures will be
    electronically implemented, and will continue to
    be the responsibility of the faculty and/or the
    Dean.

Whats new?
  • Students SSN will no longer be used as primary
    identifier
  • SSN still available in iSIS with limited need to
    know access
  • Students Wildcat ID (WID) number stored as a
    Campus ID

Advising
  • Advisors/Advisees are maintained in iSIS by Deans
    Offices/Departments
  • Advisors will attend iSIS Advisor hands-on
    training (enroll in HRIS)
  • Advisors will see a list of Advisees in iSIS and
    view relevant information
  • Access in iSIS to any student data to allow for
    walk-ins

    Library

  • Students view Enrollment Timeslot in Student
    Center
  • Pilot Group Mar 12 Student Athletes
  • Other Students Beginning Mar 24
  • Advise students to enroll in Summer before Fall
    if possible

Whats New in Enrollment?
  • Class Search Tool
  • Limit of one class section per course
  • Total semester enrollment limited to 21 hours,
    including waitlisted classes
  • Some classes will have Reserved Capacities for
    Majors, Seniors, etc.

Waitlists
  • Students waitlist themselves
  • Students/Faculty/Advisors will view number of
    students enrolled or waitlisted in classes
  • Student automatically enrolled when seat is
    available through calendar day 7 of the semester
    by date/time order
  • Waitlists purged after calendar day 7

Enrollment Requisites
  • Enrollment requisites automatically enforced if
    set up in iSIS by the Deans Office/Departments
  • Some courses will not have requisites established
    in iSIS for first year or so
  • Generally, not on Graduate level courses
  • Deans Offices will have override ability to
    bypass requisites as needed
