WHAT WE HAVE PLANED YEAR AGO
(COPERATION BETWEEN KAUNAS WATER COMPANY AND THE
UNIVERSITY)

• An involvement of professional experts/tutors.
• One of optimal choices is to include scientists
  who have both knowledge and experience in
  teaching/ tutoring process.
• This system would provide a flexible approach to
  include both local and external/ international
  experts into the tutoring process.

BETWEEN KAUNAS WATER COMPANY AND UNIVERSITY) -

The practical implementation of this cooperation
for the Knowledge Bridge tutoring purposes may be
realized by the following sequence

• the initial one- week training may be organized
  in the headquarters of Kaunas Water Company
• afterwards, the training may be maintained by
  means of web- or video- conferencing as well as
  face- to- face tutoring.

• The material of training courses was translated/
  adopted to Lithuanian.
• Very little time (because of summer holiday
  time)
• Only one course has adopted (WFD)
• Most of external documents, hadnt been
  translated, because of their volume

• The material of training courses was translated/
  adopted to Lithuanian.
• The material of course has been translated by
  staff of our department in order to keep the
  correct terms
• In addition to plain translation the course was
  adopted for the pilot phase target group

• 2. The pilot training
• The visit to the Director General of Kaunas Water
  Company
• the register of employees (from engineering to
  directors of departments)
• The first meeting with the target group

• Short introduction to WFD
• Problems of the application of WFD and nowadays
  situation in Lithuania
• General structure of the course and the main
  principles of pilot training
• Short view of training environment and content.

WHAT WE PLAN FOR THE FUTURE

• Further improvement of the adaptation of the
  course (review of the translated material and
  correction, translation of external documents)
• Close cooperation with the target group (helping
  in independent studies of the course-
  consultations, additional meetings, the testing
  of knowledge)
• To register the courses as the distance and
  succession studies in Kaunas University of
  Technology.
• To assess the target group and to award them with
  the certifications.
