• The LD-CAST project aims at specifying,
  developing and evaluating an integrated network
  of seamless interoperable public services (e.g.
  search for partners) to businesses in the context
  of the Enlarged Europe.
• LD-CAST project will provide both a local and
  global (e.g. interregional, cross-border)
  cooperation framework.
• The cooperation framework shall allow any Chamber
  of Commerce to easily open a one stop model local
  agency to work as access point of an EU virtual
  global agency, being able to exploit services
  provided by all participating organisations.

Problem addressed

• The project is based on a cooperation framework
  between Chambers of Commerce that mainly consists
  of
• A description of one-stop model Local Agency (the
  LD-CAST portal as access point)
• A common ontology for describing services and
  processes
• A reference business model including a
  re-engineering methodology
• A Quality of Service reference model to establish
  agreements on service levels
• A roadmap for public institutions wishing to
  establish Local Agencies
• The approach will be validated through a proof of
  concept with the involvement of end users in four
  countries
