Picking the right tool to get connected Come and
see how 2 different regions used a variety of
e-learning tools in the 2009 e-mentor project.
Southern Metropolitan and Gippsland are two very
different regions with different needs and
expectations. Wikis, Elluminate Live, Moodle,
CamStudio, Web Quests, and Digital Stories and
interactive word documents are just some of the
tools used. How do you pick the right tool for
your situation? Glenda McPherson

From little things big things grow Ning can
create a safe social network for the classroom.
During the FLiP Drive Project we used Ning to
coordinate our workshops, keep in touch and
upload participants video diaries. Ning makes it
easy to upload video directly from your video
camera or computer. Wetpaint also proved to be an
easy way to create a web page to show the
participants work to the world. Rick Connors

Microsoft Office, how to move forward Are you
still stuck in 2003? Do you want to upgrade to
2007? Here is a story of upgrading an
organisation where we taught them to teach
themselves, with success! We will even show you
where to gather all the resources to create your
own help pack. Joanne Norbury
The Trainer Professional Development

classroom activity, how do you encourage those
resistant trainers to take that step towards a
new type of facilitation? Learn some hints on
change management with your training staff and
brainstorm some ideas together to come up with a
direction that may suit your organisation. Sarah
