Who are we?

• Community Energy Solutions is a community
  interest company set up by the Regional
  Development Agency, One North East and the
  Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC).

  margins or other forms of income are redirected
  into the funding of new projects.

Tender

• In partnership with CES Yorkshire and Humberside
  and Renewables East, a tender for the supply of
  2,500 Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs) has been let.
• We need trained, competent and enthusiastic
  installers to install the equipment.

• We have contracted with three manufacturers to
  acquire 2,500 machines over the next 18 months.
  The installed value of this business is in the
  order of

• 6 million to be match funded making a total
  pot of 12 million. To be used for innovative
  renewable energy projects in social housing.

• Needs new skills scaffolders, roofers,
  electricians.

• We would like to think that local contractors and

• The headline number will be 500 installs by the
  end of 2010/11

Join us on a journey

• Next year the Feed in Tariff (FiT) will
  revolutionise the market for Photovoltaics and
  Combined Heat and Power (CHP).
• In 2011 the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) will
  give a huge boost to biomass, solar hot water,
  air and ground-source heat pumps, biomass CHP,
  biogas produced from anaerobic digestion, and
  biomethane for injection into the gas grid.

• The very first step on the journey will be to
  become a competent installer of heat pumps. That
  means factory training. Without factory training
  you will not be able to acquire the product from
  us at our tendered prices. You wont be able to
  get MCS accreditation.
