Food

• Puerto Ricans enjoy a variety of Spanish, Indian,
  and African foods, as well as those found in the
  United States.
• Popular dishes- arroz con pollo (rice with
  chicken), paella (a spicy mix of rice, chicken,
  seafood, and vegetables), arroz con gandules y
  pernil (rice with idler and roasted pig), and
  foods made with plantain. Shrimp, octopus, clams,
  fish, and other seafoods are also common in the
  diet.
• Different fruits are available, such as
  pineapples, bananas, mangoes, papayas,
  grapefruit, and oranges. Pasta and fast foods are
  more popular with younger generations.

Food

• Frituras are fried in oil popular varieties
  include alcapurrias (plantain with meat) and
  sorullos (deep-fried maize meal fritters). The
  local flat bread typically eaten with meals, pan
  sobao, is made with water, shortening, and flour.
• We also eat pan dulce and brazo gitano (gypsys
  arm) is a Spanish sponge cake with cream filling
  is very delicious. Especially with coffee.
• A favorite is rice and beans and
• arroz con gandules.

  proud of their heritage and cultural.
