CMA Performance Issues
  • We have seen sporadic changes in CMA performance
    since September.
  • Some weeks are fast, others slow.
  • We implemented advanced diagnostics and tracked
    the issue looking for data.
  • Suspect Oracle Optimizer job is causing problems.
    It has been suspended to see if the situation
    changes.
  • Goal is to keep CMA performance fast.

Teamsite Status
  • Teamsite released a new version in October. We
    plan to test in January and upgrade in February.
  • Support ends for our current product in March.
  • Most visible feature of new version will be a
    much improved wysiwyg editor.
  • Interwoven does not yet support IE7 for Teamsite
    and will not for our current version.
  • They understand the importance of supporting IE 7
    and we have discussed with their management.
  • We are hoping that their IE7 compatible version
    is ready in January so that we can test and
    deploy it directly from our current version.
  • SSL for late November. (Sarah)

Administration Change
  • We are expecting certain standard changes with
    the new administration
  • Welcome modules
  • Press release templates
  • We will be doing proactive outreach to get your
    change data and will be communicating the
    process.

CMA / CSS Change on 10/24/2006
  • No major issues reported.
  • Release notes summarized changes and known
    issues.
  • We will be addressing many known issues in our
    December release.

CSS Change for NEW design
  • We are targeting December 5 (evening) for
    deployment.
  • Major visual design changes for all portalized
    content.
  • Consists of Teamsite / CMA / CSS changes.
  • We will have a Teamsite / CMA freeze on the
    evening of implementation similar to the October
    deployment.

December Changes for CMA
  • CMA generation changes to accommodate new design
    and fix issues with October deployment.
  • When authors submit chunks from Teamsite, this
    will update all copies of the content at any
    agency using it.
  • We are encoding HTML further with ampersand to
    improve accessibility.
  • We are stripping out any leading slash enter in
    CMA on the terminal chunk line. This will be
    transparent to users but will prevent technical
    problems for us.

  • We are developing them based on the
    specifications given.
  • If you did not respond, we are using the existing
    images and putting the border around them.
  • If we are using an existing image and you did not
    supply a higher resolution copy, I may be in
    touch.

Next Steps New Design
  • We are finalizing CSS integration
  • We will be doing extensive testing of all page
    types on all sites.
  • We will be sending agencies links to review their
    sites in the TEST environment in about a week.
  • Some minimal content updates will be needed
    (feature stories, pages with unique formatting)
  • We will be asking for help with CMA testing.

  • Our license for Pilot Hitlist is expiring.
  • Cost to renew would be triple existing cost and
    beyond our budget range.
  • We will be replacing Hitlist in December with two
    products
  • Analog (open source)
  • Clicktracks (commercial)
  • Goal is to have better functionality at less cost.

  • Will provide raw analysis of logs.
  • Nothing will be filtered.
  • Strength is technical performance measurements
    files, bandwidth, traffic issue diagnostics.
  • It will be able to give us an IA tree with number
    of pageviews for each category.
  • Similar to Hitlist but with less measurements
    no use of visitor counts.

Clicktracks
  • Focus is on usability analysis
  • Sophisticated analysis of logs and determination
    of visitor counts using referral data and
    existing session cookie information.
  • Can see the percent of users clicking on links in
    each page.
  • Can see changes over time.
  • Can segment users internal / external, spiders
  • Several installation methods.
  • Simple reports browser based
  • More advanced interactive interface thin
    client.
  • Installed within Magnet only.
