Should Athens Build the Parthenon?

Introduction

My fellow assemblymen I a true Athenians feel
that we should not build the Parthenon because
Pericles is a fraud . He plans to take over
Athens and get all the treasurys money.

Pericles has another reason for building the
parthenon and it is to get more money for himself

Why should Athens look more beautiful using the
treasurys money?
After all Athens is using the money from the
treasury to make only Athens more beautiful.
Athens should not be the only ones to use the
treasury money, because all the other city-states
put money into the treasury.

Athens will get attacked
If the Persian king sees that Athens is only
occupied with building the Parthenon he will
attack!Then Athens will be defenseless and the
Parthenon will be destroyed.

Pericles plans to rule Athens

I have word that Pericles plans to carve his face
into the Parthenon as if he owns Athens. Pericles
plans to hire a sculptor named Phidias to do all
the work on the Parthenon.

Conclusion
So, my fellow assembly I say we should not build
the Parthenon. Do you really want Pericles to
rule over Athens? If not come with me to stop the
building the Parthenon.
