What You See in a Blizzard
  • You see a lot of snow.
  • The ground turns white from the snow.
  • Almost nothing because its all white.

  • They occur in the North Pole, South Pole, Central
    United, British Columbia, Canada, the U.S., and
    the Rocky Mountains.
  • The U.S. is normally not as prepared so storms
    are sometimes really dangerous.

Safety Precautions
  • If youre outside find shelter, try to stay dry,
    and cover all exposed body parts.
  • No shelter Prepare a lean-to, wind break, or
    snow cave for protection from wind.
  • Build a fire for heat and place rocks around the
    fire.
  • When driving Bring chains, booster cable,
    shovel, blankets, extra clothes, water, and a
    cell phone.
  • At home Stock emergency supplies in case of
    power outage and use only approved heating
    devices. Be careful with fire. Fill bathtubs with
    water in case the pipes freeze.
