New years Day

• January 1st . This is New Year. There are a
  lot of fireworks to celebrate the new year .

Australia day

• Australia Day, and Foundation Day, is the
  official national day of Australia on January
  26th, it commemorates the arrival of the First
  Fleet.

Easter

• Easter is in March or April. Tradition has a
  bunny ( a rabbit ) bring chocolate in the gardens
  .

• But since rabbits are unpopular among the locals,
  because of the damage they do to agricultural
  crops, in 1991 a campaign was started to replace
  the Easter Bunny with the Easter Bilby (an
  endangered native species). The bilby is a small
  rodent with a long nose and has rabbit-like long
  ears.

Anzac day

• Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in
  Australia and New Zealand.
• Also commemorated by both countries on 25 April
  every year to honour members of the Australian an
  New Zealand Army corps (ANZAC) who fought in
  Turkey during World War I.
• Anzac Day is also observed in the Cook Islands,
  Niue, Samoa and Tonga

• The Australian post publishes a stamp of the
  Queen each year .
