- Mat 2020-28 KJV Then came to him the mother of
Zebedee's children with her sons, worshipping
him, and desiring a certain thing of him. (21)
And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith
unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit,
the one on thy right hand, and the other on the
left, in thy kingdom. (22) But Jesus answered
and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to
drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be
baptized with the baptism that I am baptized
with? They say unto him, We are able. (23) And
he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my
cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am
baptized with but to sit on my right hand, and
on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be
given to them for whom it is prepared of my
Father. (24) And when the ten heard it, they
were moved with indignation against the two
brethren. (25) But Jesus called them unto him,
and said, Ye know that the princes of the
Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they
that are great exercise authority upon them.
(26) But it shall not be so among you but
whosoever will be great among you, let him be
your minister (27) And whosoever will be chief
among you, let him be your servant (28) Even
as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto,
but to minister, and to give his life a ransom
for many.

Zebedee, come unto him, saying, Master, we would
that thou shouldest do for us whatsoever we shall

in thy glory. (38) But Jesus said unto them, Ye

14WHAT DO SERVANTS DO? SERVE!
- Mat 2514-30 KJV For the kingdom of heaven is as
a man travelling into a far country, who called
his own servants, and delivered unto them his
goods. (15) And unto one he gave five talents,
to another two, and to another one to every man
according to his several ability and straightway
took his journey. (16) Then he that had
received the five talents went and traded with
the same, and made them other five talents. (17)
And likewise he that had received two, he also
gained other two. (18) But he that had received
one went and digged in the earth, and hid his
lord's money. (19) After a long time the lord
of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with
them. (20) And so he that had received five
talents came and brought other five talents,
saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five
talents behold, I have gained beside them five
talents more. (21) His lord said unto him, Well
done, thou good and faithful servant thou hast
been faithful over a few things, I will make thee
ruler over many things enter thou into the joy
of thy lord. (22) He also that had received two
talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst
unto me two talents behold, I have gained two
other talents beside them. (23) His lord said
unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant
thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will
make thee ruler over many things enter thou into
the joy of thy lord. (24) Then he which had
received the one talent came and said, Lord, I
knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping
where thou hast not sown, and gathering where
thou hast not strawed (25) And I was afraid,
and went and hid thy talent in the earth lo,
there thou hast that is thine. (26) His lord
answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and
slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where
I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed
(27) Thou oughtest therefore to have put my
money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I
should have received mine own with usury. (28)
Take therefore the talent from him, and give it
unto him which hath ten talents. (29) For unto
every one that hath shall be given, and he shall
have abundance but from him that hath not shall
be taken away even that which he hath. (30) And
cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer
darkness there shall be weeping and gnashing of
teeth.
(28) Take therefore the talent from him, and
give it unto him which hath ten talents. (29)
For unto every one that hath shall be given, and
he shall have abundance but from him that hath
not shall be taken away even that which he hath.
(30) And cast ye the unprofitable servant into
outer darkness there shall be weeping and
gnashing of teeth.
15WHAT DO SERVANTS DO? SERVE!
- Matt. 25 31-46 (31) When the Son of man shall
come in his glory, and all the holy angels with
him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his
glory (32) And before him shall be gathered
all nations and he shall separate them one from
another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from
the goats (33) And he shall set the sheep on
his right hand, but the goats on the left. (34)
Then shall the King say unto them on his right
hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the
kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of
the world (35) For I was an hungred, and ye
gave me meat I was thirsty, and ye gave me
drink I was a stranger, and ye took me in (36)
Naked, and ye clothed me I was sick, and ye
visited me I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
(37) Then shall the righteous answer him,
saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and
fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? (38)
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or
naked, and clothed thee? (39) Or when saw we
thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
(40) And the King shall answer and say unto
them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have
done it unto one of the least of these my
brethren, ye have done it unto me. (41) Then
shall he say also unto them on the left hand,
Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire,
prepared for the devil and his angels (42) For
I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat I was
thirsty, and ye gave me no drink (43) I was a
stranger, and ye took me not in naked, and ye
clothed me not sick, and in prison, and ye
visited me not. (44) Then shall they also
answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an
hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or
sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto
thee? (45) Then shall he answer them, saying,
Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not
to one of the least of these, ye did it not to
me. (46) And these shall go away into
everlasting punishment but the righteous into
life eternal.
(44) Then shall they also answer him, saying,
Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or
a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and
did not minister unto thee? (45) Then shall he
answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you,
Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of
these, ye did it not to me. (46) And these
shall go away into everlasting punishment but
the righteous into life eternal.
16EVERYBODY SERVES SOMETHING!
- Rom 63-18 KJV Know ye not, that so many of us
as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized
into his death? (4) Therefore we are buried
with him by baptism into death that like as
Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory
of the Father, even so we also should walk in
newness of life. . . . (16) Know ye not, that
to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his
servants ye are to whom ye obey whether of sin
unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
(17) But God be thanked, that ye were the
servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the
heart that form of doctrine which was delivered
you. (18) Being then made free from sin, ye
became the servants of righteousness.

18BEING A SERVANT IS NOT ABOUT YOU!
- Acts 1421-23 ASV And when they had preached the
gospel to that city, and had made many disciples,
they returned to Lystra, and to Iconium, and to
Antioch, (22) confirming the souls of the
disciples, exhorting them to continue in the
faith, and lations wthat through many tribue must
enter into the kingdom of God. (23) And when
they had appointed for them elders in every
church, and had prayed with fasting, they
commended them to the Lord, on whom they had
believed.

LEARNING FROM MORMONS AND MOONIES
19CHRISTIAN SERVICE IS GOOD THE JOY OF BEING TESTED
- Jas 12-3 ISV Consider it pure joy, my brothers,
when you are involved in various trials, (3)
because you know that the testing of your faith
produces endurance.
20CHRISTIAN SERVICE IS GOOD THE JOY OF SACRIFICE
- 2Co 81-3 ISV We want you to know, brothers,
about God's grace that was given to the churches
of Macedonia. (2) In spite of a terrible ordeal
of suffering, their abundant joy, along with
their deep poverty, has resulted in the abundance
of their generosity. (3) I can testify that by
their own free will they have given to the utmost
of their ability, yes, even beyond their ability.
21CHRISTIAN SERVICE IS OK THE JOY OF SERVING
OTHERS
- Php 214-18 ISV Do everything without
complaining or arguing (15) so that you may be
blameless and innocent, God's children without
any faults among a crooked and perverse
generation, among whom you shine like stars in
the world (16) as you hold out the word of
life. Then I can boast in the day of Christ that
I did not run in vain or work hard in vain. (17)
Yet even if I am being poured out like an
offering as part of the sacrifice and service I
offer for your faith, I rejoice, and I share my
joy with all of you. (18) In the same way, you
also should rejoice and share your joy with me.
22CHRISTIAN SERVICE IS GOOD THE JOY OF HAVING
IMITATORS OF US AND JESUS
- 1Th 14-7 ISV Brothers whom God loves, we know
that he has chosen you, (5) for the gospel we
brought did not come to you in words only, but
also with power, with the Holy Spirit, and with
deep conviction. Indeed, you know what kind of
people we proved to be while we were with you,
acting on your behalf. (6) You became imitators
of us and of the Lord. In spite of a great deal
of suffering, you welcomed the word with the joy
that the Holy Spirit produces. (7) As a result,
you became a model for all the believers in
Macedonia and Achaia.
23THE NEXT STEP UPSERVING A FATHER
- Rom 814-18 KJV For as many as are led by the
Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (15)
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage
again to fear but ye have received the Spirit of
adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (16)
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our
spirit, that we are the children of God (17)
And if children, then heirs heirs of God, and
joint-heirs with Christ if so be that we suffer
with him, that we may be also glorified together.
(18) For I reckon that the sufferings of this
present time are not worthy to be compared with
the glory which shall be revealed in us.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage
again to fear but ye have received the Spirit of
adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
