Corporation has a tie up with BESCOM in Bangalore
for wireless data acquisition from the electrical
meters. To fulfill the business case YIL has
identified meters generating a monthly billing of
Rs.1 Lakh and above, through the DMC on GPRS the
meter would be read and the data would be given
to BESCOM on a monthly basis.
17Business Solution from Airetl
- There are three stages of communication
- A. Remote SIM integrated to the Energy meter
being called from the Data Collection Center
via data cal. The data is tracked on a monthly
basis from the remote meters. - B. Data collected is messaged over GPRS network
to the Data management center. - C. The Data management center needs to have an ID
to be recognized on the Net to be made reachable.
The two options are - 1.Hosting the Data Mgmt Server on the net which
will have a Fixed IP for GPRS SIM from the data
Collection Center to reach out to and transfer
billing info. - 2.Connecting the Data Mgmt Server through a
leased link to Our GGSN ( GPRS Server) at switch
location whereby an unique APN - ( Access Point Node) can be assigned to all the
GPRS SIM cards at the Data Collection center to
reach out to the central server. -
