- Minimum of weekly entries about what you are
learning and your thoughts on the subject. - Pick at least one topic or activity that came up
over the week that interested you and comment on
it. - Reflections are not just a statement of
activities but a moment for you to try to put
information into perspective. - Your opinion is encouraged. Make it personal.
What did that activity or topic mean to you? Was
it what you thought it would be? What can you
learn from the experience?
21Reflections Week of 9/25/08 This week was
like most. We are currently discussing the
History of Law Enforcement and how many of the
traditions of policing started. We had a guest
speaker bring in a collection of historical
police equipment. I never really thought about
how the role of police in our society changes as
technology changes. Many of the issues of today
like police brutality, communication problems
between departments are really nothing new.
Overall it was not an exciting week but it has
given me more of an appreciation for how there is
a tradition to law enforcement that passes from
generation to generation.
