5OneSource How To Profile
Use the Profile Function to identify a particular
company of the 277,668 listings in the Browser,
or identify industry codes for future research.
Company Type in the name of the company or its
stock ticker symbol. This is especially helpful
if you know a company by name and you want to
know its industry classification, its
competitors, and other information. For example,
type in AXP for American Express. The
Peer-Listing function on the right navigation bar
is very helpful! Industry Search the SIC
industry code list for industries and functional
areas that interest you. For example, look under
Finance and then consumer financial services.
Write down the SIC codes. For this one, it is
6061-6163 are applicable codes.
6OneSource How To Find
Use the Find Function to narrow your search of
the 277,668 companies in the Browser. Pick your
Search Criteria Search by a number of different
criteria, including SIC codes, industry, state,
size by sales , etc. You need to find a subset
of less than 5,000 companies to run a
report. After selecting your first criteria, hit
search, then on the right navigation bar,
select Add Another Search Item to further
narrow the search. If youre list becomes too
small, you can also select Remove Last
Criterion. Once you see a subset of reasonable
size, select Run Report to view the companies
in the subset. You can also save the list of
companies, selecting the Save Company List
command. You access this saved file off the main
browser page by using the Open Company List
command.

Multex Includes Broker Research, Morning Notes
and Independent ReportsResearch from over 800 of
the worlds leading brokerage firms, investment
banks and market research providers. More than
3.3 million full-text reports covering over
28,000 companies, spanning 100 countries and 23
languages. For Multex, we suggest focusing on
industry reports published by Graham-Whiteside.
These reports will provide a listing of public
and private companies according to industry and
country. Obviously, this is only one limited
application of this high powered search tool.

Select the following search criteria For Period
Of All Dates Contributors Graham-Whiteside I
ndustry select an industry(ies) and then also
toggle on Show Industry Reports Only Country
select the country(ies) in which you are
interested. If your search is too large, change
the number of reports in the Return Up To
field. Also, consider limiting your search by
region, country, and multiple industries.

independent analysis of market and industrial
