• I am an accounting major and dance minor. I am
  exited about getting my education because I would
  like to have a steady job and eventually use my
  business education to start a business.

Why I chose Reagan as my subject for my slide show

• I read a little about him in political science.
  I heard different things about him both good and
  bad and wanted to formulate my own opinion on
  him. I find him very interesting and I hope that
  you will too.

Early Life

• On February 6, 1911, Ronald Wilson Reagan was
  born to Nelle and John Reagan.
• His father was Irish and his mother was of
  Scottish-English descent.
• He was born in Tampico, Illinois.
• His parents were strict Roman Catholics.

Education

• After High School he worked his way through
  school at Eureka College, in Eureka Illinois.
• He majored in Economics and Sociology
• He played football and was the lead in school
  plays.

Reagan as a broadcaster

• Upon graduating, Reagan applied for a job as a
  manager of the sports department at Montgomery
  Ward in his hometown.
• He was denied the job.
• Reagan then looked for a job as a radio announcer
• He began sports announcing and eventually wanted
  to pursue his real dream acting.

• He then became a radio announcer, and then later
  became an actor.
• He ended up appearing in 53 films
• He was always the good guy
• He only appeared as the villain once.

• Ronald Reagans first marriage was to actreess
  Jane Wyman

• They divorced in 1949
• He then married Nancy Davis in 1952

• Although he was a democrat his views slowly

• Reagan was not interested, but after much
  persuasion gave in.
