- Early interventions with very young children
(birth to 6 years of age) at risk of experiencing
serious emotional disturbances (SED) or for those
children already diagnosed with an SED - Project outcomes focus on the number of youth
intervened upon, maintenance of their placement
at their site and who remain in their home
setting, as well as the impact on improving their
lives

4Intervention Plans have Included
- Changes in the classroom environment
- Changes in the program
- Development of collaboration between the parent
and childcare program - Linkage to additional services (i.e.
developmental assessment through ASD or Infant
Learning)
5Outcomes March 15-June 30, 2009
- On-site consultations provided at 27 childcare
programs - 100 childcare retention rate (0 children
expelled from childcare programs) - 390 contact hours of training provided to
childcare, infant learning, early intervention
and early learning programs.
6ECMH Learning Network
- Engage early childhood professionals to intervene
with youth at risk of experiencing serious
emotional disturbance (SED) - Outcomes focus on
- hrs of professionals receiving consultation
/or professional development - of children served by these professionals who
are able to maintain their placements in their
early childhood program or remain in their homes
for at least 6 months
