Joint MS policy

• establishes formally the joint MS organization
• creation of the joint MS office (January 1999),
• priorities on joint staff requirements,
• schedule for the establishment of a national MS
  capability (autonomous, but consistent with the
  future NATO system).
• Joint MS policy document recognizes
• the importance of MS for the joint staff
  activity, in coherence with the NATO MS master
  plan,
• interoperability is a major concern (HLA , ),
• the importance of international cooperation
• multi-nationally within NATO,
• bilaterally with allied nations.

Army activities in distributed simulation domain

• New Army MS master plan (February 2000),

• CENTAURE (live training system) is ongoing,
• Main project SCIPIO Army future training
  capability for division HQ level
