• Bronstein had always wanted to see a komodo
  dragon and his wife arranged the private visit as
  a Fathers Day present. He was invited into the
  cage by the keeper.

• The keeper asked Bronstein to take off his white
  tennis shoes because they might be mistaken for
  rats by the lizard. The lizard then grabbed the
  editors foot with its mouth and started to
  thrash its body around. Bronstein managed to open
  the lizards mouth and free his foot. He escaped
  through a small door in the cage.
