Five people stayed the night at a friends house
after watching the Steelers game. Clarissa, the
host, Tristan, Mia, and Justin were all Steelers
fans. George and Jen were Panthers fans. Of
course, the Steelers beat the Panthers, which
made George and Jen very angry. After the game,
the six friends sat around and told scary
stories. The tales all involved violence. The
group then got into a heated debate about the
best football team in the NFL.

Soon, George, who was studying to be a surgeon,
became unusually tired and decided to go to bed.
Because there wasnt a lot of room in Clarissas
house, he slept on an air mattress in the
kitchen. An hour after George went to bed, Justin
became sleepy. As he climbed the stairs to the
guest room, he noticed one of the stairs groaned
when he stepped on it.

Clarissa, of course, slept in her room, and Mia
crashed on the couch in the living room. Tristan,
after watching a movie about a man that goes
crazy, had trouble falling asleep and almost went
home. He eventually decided to stay and fell
asleep in Clarissas brothers room. Jen, an
outgoing and caring artist, fell asleep while
sketching in the dining room.

Everyone, for the most part, slept soundly. The
Steelers fans dreamt about a sixth Super Bowl
win while the Panthers fans dreamt about
revenge. Justin woke twice briefly when he
thought he heard a creaking noise. Mia roused
once and thought she saw light glinting off an
object in the hall but decided it was only a
mirror and went back to sleep. The next
morning, only five people wok up. The sixth
person had been killed. Who died? Who killed this
person and how?
