Excerpt From The June 1989 Edition Of A LIGHT TO
LONDON, The London Church
Bulletin
May 14th was an historic day for the London
church as we sent out our first mission team to
Africa. This powerful force of disciples, led by
Adetokunbo and Bolanle Sowolu, was enabled to go
to Lagos, Nigeria with the help of a special
contribution of over 100,000. A significant
amount of this money was raised by the London
Teens Ministry in a spectacular and unprecedented
project. "Teens-Shining for Africa" was the
brain-child of Douglas Arthur and John Partington
who had scoured the renowned "Guinness Book of
World Records" in search of a different kind of
challenge...

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit
through the bond of peace. There is one body and
one Spirit-- just as you were called to one hope
when you were called- one Lord, one faith, one
baptism one God and Father of all, who is over
all and through all and in all.-Eph. 43-6
