Recording of values

• Energy measurements are converted into 8 or 10
  bit for storage and transmission.
• This has the disadvantage of only recording
  certain discrete values and introduces
  quantisation errors.

Converting data

• We know all about the sensor from pre-flight
  calibration
• So instead of actually finding the energy and
  then converting we do a straight conversion from
