More than 250 sessions of Fit to a T, a public
education program promoting bone health and
osteoporosis prevention, and attended by 10,000
people, have been held at public libraries,
churches, hospitals, clinics, government offices,
and corporations throughout the United States.

Occupational Health Nurses, American Physical
Therapy Association, Association of Rheumatology
Health Professionals, American Osteopathic
Academy of Orthopedics Business and Professional
Women/USA, National Association of Commissions
for Women, National Association of Orthopaedic

The 3rd Experts in Arthritis seminar will take
place during the BJD09 Global Network Conference.
During 2007 and 2008 this educational forum
provided an opportunity for around 400 patients
and their families to discuss advances in
research and clinical practice with
world-renowned health care professionals and
researchers.
Young Investigators Initiative - 33,713,737
More than 160 young investigators have entered
this joint program of the USBJD and BJD Canada
and more than 60 of them, since beginning the
program, have obtained a total of 33.7 million
in approved research grants.

States
This resource of prevalence, societal and
economic cost data is a joint program by the
American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons,
American Academy of Physical Medicine and
