• To identify what is required for the plan
• To acquire the skills needed to build a Gantt
  chart plan

• Presentations

• Do you have a life plan?
• Planning is no guarantee of success arctic
  exploration, rowing the Pacific
• A plan is an initial idea it will change over
  time e.g. the design of the college changed
  during construction

Gantt charts

• A plan should laid out in an easily
  understandable, concise way
• You could do a list, a mind map, etc.
• Professional organisations use a Gantt Chart
• Example
• What information will you need?
• Lessons
• Tasks / sub-tasks
• How long each will take

Excel skills needed

• Row heights and column widths
• Fill cell
• Font colours
• Align cells direction, wrap
• Merge cells
• Borders
• Comments
• Group and Outline (optional)
