Quilting
Quilting was a very social activity for Colonial
folk. Come learn the art of quilting and practice
on a square of your own while you chat with the
other quilters.

Stringing Popcorn and Pine cone Ornaments
In Colonial days, a favorite Christmas activity
was stringing popcorn. When the popcorn strings
were long enough, they were used to decorate the
family's Christmas tree. Another winter activity
could have been using pine cones to feed the
birds. Peanut butter was spread on the gathered
pine cones and then rolled in seeds and hung on
trees outdoors for the hungry birds.
