Taylor Rodden   I
started art in elementary school, doing the basic
stuff that everyone has to do. After elementary
school, I decided to continue art, but in a
different form. I joined the band, learning to
play the trumpet. I continued this through middle
school, and enjoyed it. When high school came
around, I decided to take art classes through
high school. I signed up for visual art, as well
as a few digital media classes. The digital
media classes explored art in a different way.
It explored art in media form with promotional
videos and ads. My favorite type of art, is to
create video. I enjoy piecing clips together to
form a final product that catches your eye. I
have decided that this is what I want to do as a
career, and I want to attend the university of
Wilmington. My favorite type of visual art is
painting. I like to paint, using oils. I
especially like painting landscapes. I feel like
I can make things look more realistic using oil
paint than any other type of paint. So in
conclusion, I have built a great interest in art.
I have decided to make my career in digital
media art. I plan to continue my pathway in art
and broaden my skills.
