Facts About Michigan

• In 1837 Michigan became the 26th state in the
  USA. Michigan state capital is Lansing. It is
  surrounded by five great lakes, Lake Michigan,
  Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake Erie, and Lake
  Ontario. You are never more than 85 miles away
  from a body of water. Out of all the great lakes,
  lake Superior is the deepest and has the greatest
  volume.
