  • Checked baggage
  • Canada flights Two items of checked baggage are
    accepted per person.
  • Maximum size 157 cm (62 in) per piece (length
    width height).
  • Maximum weight 23 kgs (50 lbs) per piece.
  • Please make every effort to pack conservatively
    as we may need to "average" the luggage between
    the group.
  • We recommend you list the items in your
    luggage/toolbox that may be considered
    dangerous or suspicious.
  • A carry on bag is also permitted but must be no
    more than 10kgs(22 lbs) and fit under your seat
    or in the overhead area.

  • Toolboxes
  • Skills Canada Charlottetown requests that all
    competitor toolboxes be dropped off at
    registration (times to be advised likely on
    arrival).
  •  
  • To ensure that toolboxes are correctly located in
    each event site for contest start time and
    security purposes, toolboxes must be securely
    packed in appropriate containers and must have
    labels clearly stating the following (your labels
    are in the Skills registration package)
  •  
  • Competitors name Province / Territory
  • Contest Number Contest Name
  •  
  • Failure to comply with this labeling system may
    mean that toolboxes will not be accepted at the
    Registration. Toolboxes must be labeled properly
    before Skills Canada Charlottetown takes
    possession and responsibility for the toolboxes.

  • Check List (must do.)
  • Registration form completed and forwarded to
    Skills Canada Team Ontario via fax (519 749
    6322) prior to 500pm, Friday, May 8
  • You your advisor must contact Goligers
    TravelPlus to confirm travel arrangements. At
    that time be prepared to provide billing
    information for all fees. This is required by
    Friday, May 8th
  • Payments are made to Goligers TravelPlus for the
    total Team Ontario package for all registration
    and travel arrangements
  • Have reviewed toolbox instructions and have
    completed and applied labels accordingly prior to
    departure
  • Uniform Review all information... Uniform must
    be worn at opening and closing ceremonies. Team
    Ontario uniform consists of a shirt worn with
    dress pants or skirt (khaki, navy or gray)
  • Prepare to represent Ontario in a professional
    manner at all times.

  • Team Ontario Package Includes
  • Round trip flight from Toronto to Charlottetown
    and oversized baggage fees (group travel dates /
    times only) all air taxes and fees
  • Registration fees for 2009 National Competition
  • Charter bus service from airport to hotel
  • Pre-paid gratuities for all private buses used
    for Team Ontario
  • 4 nights accommodation at the at the University
    of PEI in Blanchard Hall including all taxes and
    service charges
  • Breakfast daily
  • Sightseeing and Team Building day on May 20th.
  • Welcome reception and Opening Ceremony
  • Team Ontario shirt, 2009 OTSC pins (for trading)
  • Chartered buses to Closing Ceremonies and to the
    airport on May 23
  • Closing award ceremony

  • Terms and procedures for booking
  • Registration forms are to be sent or faxed to the
    Skills Ontario office to confirm your
    participation by Friday, May 8th.
  • A limited number of air seats and rooms are
    available for our Team Ontario group. It is
    essential that you contact Goligers TravelPlus
    to confirm your air, transfer and hotel package.
    This is done separately from your registration
  • with the Skills office and is due by
    Friday, May 8th.
  • As a competitor, you MUST travel on May 19
    (please contact Judy Anger or Allyson Feicht _at_
    Goligers TravelPlus for possible deviations for
    other departure cities). You may elect to extend
    your stay after the competition and we would be
    happy to assist with your travel arrangements.

  • each apartment has two bedrooms, a full kitchen,
    living room, storage room, and shared bathroom
  • apartments are fully furnished, and equipped with
    Fridge and stove and basic cooking utensils
  • bedrooms are furnished with two single beds
  • access to a common lounge and laundry facilities
    on the main floor
  • Linens and towels provided

  • As a competitor, you MUST travel on May 19 with
    the group. You may elect to extend your stay
    after the competition and we would be happy to
    assist with your travel arrangements

  • Total cost of the pre-paid package
  • For all competitors, Skills Canada Team Ontario
    provides a bursary of 300 which has been
    deducted from the rate listed below
  • Competitors shared bedroom 1,075.00
  • Advisors Single bedroom 1,550.00
  • Pre- and post- hotel stays / Toronto Airport
  • Goligers TravelPlus offers a special stop-over
    rate at the Crowne Plaza Hotel of 109 per night
    plus tax including accommodation (single or
    double), parking and return airport transfers.
    This special rate must be booked directly through
    our office.
  • Optional travel insurance information can be
    found in your handout.
  • You may elect to purchase this as a separate item
  • from the rates listed above.
