2
INTRODUCTION
  • The prefix nano means ten to the minus ninth
    power,or one billionth
  • Nanotechnology deals with design manufacture of
    small electronic circuits mechanical devices
built at the molecular level of matter.
  • Nanotechnologists manipulates single molecules
    and atoms
  • The main goal is to control individual atoms and
    molecules to create computer chips
  • Manufacturing plants can produce circuits smaller
    than one micron(1000 nanometers).

3
Molecular Nanotechnology
  • Molecular nano technology get essentially atom in
    right place.
  • Make almost any structure consistence with loss
of physics that we can specify in molecular
    detail.
  • Have manufacturing costs not greatly exceeding
the cost of required raw materials and energy.

4
Advantages of nanotechnology
  • Nanotechnology will reduce the cost and increase
the capabilities of space ship and space flight.
  • With the help of nano, RAM can store billion
    billion bytes in volume.
  • A male can be changed into female and female can
    be changed into male.
  • Nanotechnology makes solar power economical by
    reducing its cost.

5
Disadvantages of Nanotechnology
  • Scientists fell hard to find or repair the
    product.
  • As all good fruits turn bad, their may be
    misutilisation of the resources .

6
APPLICATIONS MOLECULAR DIFFERENTIAL
GEAR
  • Differential gear links two shafts through casing
constraining sum of rational angels of shafts to
equal the rotational angles of casing.
  • The clockwise rotation of top shaft drives the
side-gears in turn driving the counter clockwise
    rotation of the bottom shaft.

7
  • The molecular differential gear structure is
    chiefly built of hydrogen,carbon,silicon,phosphoro
    us, nitrogen,oxygensulphur.
  • The larger size of second-row atoms help in
reducing the number of atoms needed to construct
    the outer cylinder of casing.

8
Fine motion controller
  • Its core consists of shafts linking two hexagonal
endplates, sandwiching a stack of eight rings.
  • Each ring would be rotated by a lever driven by a
    cam mechanism.
  • Rotating a ring moves strut, moving a strut moves
platform, position in x,y,z roll ,pitch and yaw.
  • The structure can execute motions over several
atomic diameters with 90-degrees rotations, and
    contains fewer than 2000 atoms.

Visual images in nanotechnology
  • These images show a structure with few thousand
atoms, where each atom is a sphere.
  • Nano systems have excellent black and white
    structure.
  • The captions for black and white images in
    nanosystems provide documentation for
    corresponding colour images.
  • These nanostructure need tight dimensional to
    ensure manufacturability.

Conclusion
  • All nanodevices based on electrical, optical
mechanical, chemical and biological effects are
almost cheaper, clear and more precise.
  • The properties of all materials based on how
    their atoms are arranged.
  • Nanotechnology makes products lighter ,stroger ,
    smarter and cheaper.
