    Canadian-born, pulmonary cases diagnosed between
    January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2008 were
approached to participate in a semi-structured
    interview until saturation was reached

Development of Interview Guide
  • Study investigators worked together to determine
aspects of the research question that would best
    be collected through patient narratives
  • Committees of Aboriginal community members and TB
    stakeholders provided feedback advised upon
    historical perspectives establishing
relationships, which was then integrated into the
    interview tool
  • Study coordinators worked with qualitative
investigators to integrate patient responses into
    final interview guide

4
Analysis Framework
  • A standardized set of interview codes were
    inductively developed and refined utilizing
    cross-province data
  • Based on the codes, a framework was inductively
developed in which to categorize interview data
  • Information was continually vetted through
Committees and analysis was refined accordingly

Qualitative Framework
