About Elie Wiesels Life

• Born on 1928 in the town of Sighet.
• Third of four children.
• only son of Shlomo and Sarah Wiesel.
• learned Hebrew literature, Jewish text, and Faith.

About Elies Life Continued...

• When he was 15 years old he and his family were
  deported by the Nazis to Auschwitz.
• Elies mother and little sister perished and his
  father died in Buchenwald shortly before the camp
  was liberated.
• Only Elie and his two older sisters survived.
• Elie was persuaded to write about his experiences
  that the book Night came to be and was published.

About the Book Night

• The book Night is based on a true story on the
  experiences Elie Wiesel went through in the
  concentration camps. Its about when his father
  who is a good story teller of his town, gets told
  by the jewish mayor that all the people in the
  town are being exported. They have no where
  abouts to where their going to. Adolf Hitler is
  in control of the Jews and of germany that the
  jews are being exported to concentration camps.
  When Elie gets to the Auschwitz camp he sees
  destruction, it smells putrid, he has to go
  through starvation, little space to sleep,
  sickness, and brutal work. He thinks he wont
  make it out alive will he? Read the book to find
  out.
