2Obsolete Technology
- With the growing world of technology, it is not
surprising that some of the technologies that we
use a year ago are no longer being utilized.
Overhead
Projector
3Overhead Projector
- It is evident that the reason the overhead
projectors are in the closet and no longer being
used by us is because something new and
innovative came onto the scene.
4Emerging Technology
- The emerging technology that has replaced the
overhead projector is the Elmo Multimedia Visual
Presenter.
Elmo Multimedia
Presenter
5Elmo Multimedia Presenter
- The Elmo is the latest technology that allows
teachers to take their presentations inside of
the classroom to another level. It ensures that
materials such as objects or books are displayed
on a screen and has intended impact on
presentations

advancement. A more student friendly presenter
may replace the Elmo Multimedia Visual Presenter
11Evolutionary Technologies on Obsolete
Technologys Original Emergence
- The overhead projector came on the scene in 1940s
where the police used them for criminal profiles
and the military used them for trainings.
12Evolutionary Technologies
- During the 1980s-1990s, overhead projectors
continued to be an essential tool for classroom
learning - Overhead projectors met the demands of the school
system for years, being a technological tool that
aided teachers in presenting pre-printed material
and by saving class time for teacher by not
relying on the blackboard so. With this being
said, overhead projectors did not become obsolete
because they did not meet the needs of the school
system, but because a new technology came about
that made teaching in the classroom a little
easier.
13Evolutionary Technology
- Elmo Multimedia Projector
- Ii is very easy to use, light weight, and ensures
that all materials is displayed down to its
intricate detail. It facilitates the reading of
very small text and that is something that
overhead projectors did not have as its
advantage.
14Rhymes of History
- The rhyme of history is how past technologies
affected or influenced new technology
15Rhymes of History on Obsolete Technologys
Original Emergence
- Before there was the overhead projector there was
the opaque projector and the movie screen in the
1800s
16Disruptive Technology
- A disruptive technology is something that
displaces an old technology.
17Disruptive Technology
- About Elmo Multimedia Projector
- The Elmo is the latest technology that allows
teachers to take their presentations inside of
the classroom to another level
18Science Fiction
- Science Fiction Imagination of creative thinkers
in the movies things are always being projected
on a screen.
19Increasing Returns
- Increasing Returns Is the war against two
competing technologies that come out at the same
time - The Elmo Multimedia Projector is in competition
with other interactive boards and LCD projectors.
20Red Queens
- The competition between two technologies that
leave behind all competitors - LCD PROJECTORS/ SMART BOARDS
