just not as good as them, no matter how hard I
try!!

Allison and Julianna, what I said is that Allison
has the flute solo for our upcoming concert!! Now
where was I.
The following students have solos Clarinets

I have some very exciting news for everyone!!
Since weve all been working so hard, we are
going to have a band concert for the whole school!
Why in the world would Mrs. Smith give me the
solo, when Julianna is much better than me?? And
now I have to play in front of the whole school
and everyone will make fun of me!! This is
awful!!
I am going to give out solos to one student in
every section. I think the following people
deserve these solos and I know theyll do a great
job!!
Im sure Mrs. Smith will pick Julianna, everyone
knows that shes the best flute player

Ahhh!! They just dont understand how awful this
is!! But I have to save myself!! Im going to
tell Mrs. Smith to find a new soloist!!
Oh my gosh, you will never believe it! The most
awful thing has happened! We have a band
concert, and Mrs. Smith gave me a solo!! Its
going to be so humiliating and I dont know what
to do!!
Thats wonderful!! Im so proud of you!!!
You wont be humiliated! Youll be the star of
the school!!

I just wanted to tell you what a great job I
think youll do with the solo!! I know youve
been struggling, but if you practice enough,
youll do a wonderful job!! You really deserve

I feel like the luckiest girl in the whole world!
I now know that no matter where I go in life or
what I do, my brothers will always be right by my
side!! And theyve taught me that I can do
anything that I set my mind to!!
