  • We are situated at Waterloo on the London campus
    of Schiller International University
  • Very close to the River Thames, just a short walk
    from Londons main sights and famous tourist
    attractions The London Eye, House of Parliament,

Faculty
  • Minimum age is 16 years old
  • Class size is usually 8 - 12 students. Maximum is
    16
  • Students requiring visas to study in the United
    Kingdom will receive
  • A Letter of Acceptance and a Certificate of
    Acceptance
  • All courses at ELI offer a minimum of 20 hours
    study
  • They are considered as full-time courses for visa
    purposes

ELI Courses
  • Full time English Language Courses to adults of
    all ages
  • From 1 week to 48 weeks
  • Minimum age 16
  • Students can start any Monday
  • New students take the English Language Placement
    Test
  • Small classes average size 8-12 students

GENERAL ENGLISH
  • 20 hours of tuition per week
  • 9.00 13.30 every day
  • Covers the four main language skills listening,
    speaking, reading and writing
  • As well as vocabulary, grammar, intonation and
    pronunciation
  • Emphasis on effective communication

INTENSIVEGENERAL ENGLISH
  • 24 hours of tuition per week
  • Mornings 9.00 13.30
  • 2 Afternoons 2.15 - 4.15
  • Greater emphasis on effective communication
  • Classes cover a huge range of topics and issues
  • A wide variety of resources is used in classrooms

GENERAL ENGLISH COMBINATION
  • 2 48 week course
  • General English plus 2 or 4 hours per week
    tailored to your specific requirements
  • In the one-to-one lessons, students are taught
    specific exam preparation techniques
  • Very popular are TOEFL or IELTS preparation
    classes

CAMBRIDGE COMBINATION
  • General English plus 4 hours specialist Cambridge
    Examination classes in small groups
  • Leading to Preliminary, First Certificate,
    Advanced or Proficiency
  • All examinations take place after the end of the
    course

One-to-One classes
  • One-to-one classes are held in the afternoons
    from 2.15 to 4.15 or 4.30 to 6.30

    subjects at London City College.
