• WIND.
• Wind is named for the direction from which it
  comes
• Wind is caused by the unequal heating of the
  earths surface

Air Masses Fronts

• Air Masses- Air moving across land or water in
  large amounts
• Fronts-A place where 2 air masses meet

Moisture

• Air moisture is the amount of moisture in the air.

Clouds

• There are 3 main types of clouds
• Cirrus-white with feather-like edges, made of ice
  crystals, bring fair weather, and located high in
  the troposphere
• Cumulus-large puffy clouds, thicker lower in
  the
• sky, bring good weather
• Stratus-close to the ground, covers sky like a
  blanket, special type is fog, brings bad weather

The Water Cycle

• Evaporation- water goes into the air by sun or
  wind
• Condensation- water vapor forms around dust
  particles in the air
• Precipitation-water returns to the earths surface
