14Verify Address
Address is Standardized to USPS Standards
15Select Tests
At this point you select the desired tests to be
performed. There are 2 columns, 1 to Run the
Test and the next to Show the Map Layer on the
output page
This list is created dynamically, meaning that
tests that are not applicable are not shown. If
an address in CA were used, Brush Fire tests
would be available and State Windpool would
not. Once the desired tests are checked, a user
then clicks on the submit button.
16Output Page
17Output Map
This is a live interactive map that can be
manipulated in several ways. The RiskMeter
allows a user to Zoom In, Zoom Out, Measure,
Toggle Layers On/Off, and get a Birdseye View via
Aerial Imagery.
18Zoom In
Activate the Zoom buttons and simply click on the
map. Clicking the Zoom in button will cut your
zoom level in half, Clicking the zoom out button
will double the current map zoom
19Toggle Layers
The Risk Meter also allows the user to toggle
between certain layers. In the example below,
the shoreline is turned on (shown in pink).
Simply click on the layer in the Display Layer,
and click Redraw Map.
Shoreline in Pink
20Birdseye Geocoder - Aerial Imagery
This technology allows the user to get a birds
eye view of the insured location. The 2 maps are
synchronized and are in scale to one another.
This can be used in conjunction with a manual
placement to put the location at the rooftop.
21Conclusion
- The Risk Meter is an excellent tool, giving the
carrier a tremendous amount of underwriting
information prior to binding the risk - This allows uniformity across the organization,
e.g. everyone working off the same page - Because of the browser based format, this can be
rolled out to 1 or 1000 users quickly and easily - Accuracy and speed allow for more business, more
profitable business, and getting the premiums you
deserve - QUESTIONS?
