INTERNATIONAL CURRENCY
  • New Publication Board established in 2001 with
    Professor Sharma as Editor and just did it again
    in 2007 with Professor Emeritus W. Mellowes as
    Editor.
  • Vol. 23 No. 1 July 2000 to Vol. 29 No. 1 2006
    have been published and the journal is back on
    track after the illness last year of the
    Secretary.
  • Agreement with EBSCO Publishing and H.W. Wilson,
    both from the USA to facilitate the promotion and
    marketing of the journal to the international
    community of scholars and putting the papers on
    the international database.

  • Petroleum Geoscience/Petroleum Engineering
    facilities (lecture theatre, lecture rooms,
    office space, labs) completed by a TT2.8 million
    grant from BHP- FH Engineering Contractors
  • Refurbishment and expansion above the breezeway
    (lecture rooms 5.1, 6, 7 and 9).
  • Installation of Elevator for physically
    challenged for Blocks 5,6 and 7.
  • The Facultys Main Air Conditioning Plant was
    replaced by Thomas Peake TT 4.0 million

  • BLOCK 13 EXPANSION The Flagship
  • This began in earnest in the year 2002 with
    conceptual designs
  • Construction of the new Block 13 Chemical
    Engineering began in 2006.
  • Kee Chanona Ltd. was awarded a 22million
    contract to build the facility including a
    completely remade 2nd floor, new 3rd floor and a
    450-seat auditorium. New staff space, lecture
    rooms, design rooms, kitchen, lounge etc. I am
    hopeful that in the new academic year this
    building will be completed and fully functional.

  • Despite the lack of a Board, we have kept the
    Institute alive and it has earned about
    TT2million per year and has sustained itself.
