2006 Shopping is one of my favorite pastimes
because it relaxes me, I get to socialize, and it
can be entertaining. First, I enjoy shopping
because it relaxes me. For one thing, when I go
into a shoe store and the salesperson helps me
remove my old, worn out Keds from Payless and
slips on a brand new, 1300 lavender Gucci cruise
shoe onto my foot, I start to forget about what
to fix for dinner tonight. More details Also,
when I window shop, I start daydreaming about how
my apartment would look with that new red leather
sofa from Macys sitting in my living room, and I
no longer am thinking about that algebra test I
didnt pass. Details I also enjoy shopping
because it gives me a chance to socialize. For
instance, whenever I go to the Glendale Galleria,
I always run into someone from school or from my
job at Best Buy. Its fun to meet someone by
surprise and decide to join them for some ribs
slathered in tangy barbecue sauce at Applebees

often go to the Rose Bowl Flea Market with my
best friend. When we shop for funky little

Shopping is one activity I can do without since
its boring, it usually ends up with my wasting
money, and I can put my mind to better use.
First, shopping is the most unexciting activity I
can think of. For example, walking in the mall
or inside a large department store is so dull.
You pass rack after rack of clothes, all in the
same color--whatever the color of the season

You go back and forth between the rack and the
dressing room, untying your shoes, pulling off

just to get what youre looking for. Lets say
