• Background
• Carl Perkins Act of 1998 required that each state
  negotiate with OVAE Core Indicators of
  Performance as well as levels of performance
  within each core indicator for accountability
  purposes prescribed within the law. Wisconsin
  negotiated the following as a result at the
  secondary level

Background Contd In addition to the negotiated
federal Core Indicators, two performance measures
were continued from the previous Perkins Act of
1990 as state measures due to their
importance
The collection method to determine compliance at
the secondary level is through the data the LEAs
submit to VEERS each year. This is reported back
to you in the District Profile
