Return To Work Workflow
Supervisor contacts identified case manager Or
internal RTW coordinator
Employee contacts supervisor to initiate RTW
Case Manager or identified employer contact
interviews Employee, Supervisor, HR, Medical
Personnel to determine preliminary course of
action.

Employer may hire outside consultants, vendors or
case managers to perform a detailed job analysis
of employees job (if one does not exist) and/or
to explore accommodations and return to work
options, including part time and transitional
work.
Develop mutual return to work plan
Put the plan in writing. Who needs to be
notified? HR? Payroll? Supervisor? Medical
Department? Risk Manager? Disability Carrier?
After full time return to work, the employee
should be contacted after 30 days to assure that
the return to work is successful
