About AIDS

• AIDS is short for acquired immune deficiency
  syndrome.
• A virus called HIV causes AIDS
• The HIV virus can take years to develop into AIDS

What Causes AIDS?

• HIV is only transmitted through bodily fluids,
  through sexual intercourse, blood transfusions,
  and sharing syringes.

What Causes AIDS?

• A mother to child transmission through the womb
  during delivery or by breast feeding if the
  mother is infected.

Youth Risks

• 12 million people age 15-24 are infected with
  HIV/AIDS.
• AIDS kills one child every minute.
• More than 7,000 young adults become infected with
  HIV everyday.

The Fight

• With donations to the Youth AIDS organization we
  will be able to educate the youth on how to be
  safe and to stop spreading this deadly
  virus/disease.

What is the Money Used for?

• 10 will provide a child with one year of health
  products, services and valuable health education
  to keep them from contracting the virus and to
  stop the spread.

• Ashley Judd is the Global Ambassador of Youth
  AIDS. She has worked hard to spread the word and
  to educate the young to spread the word and not
  the disease.

  people. 90 of people infected with HIV dont
  even know it.
