Heinekens History

• Heineken began brewing in December of 1863
• It was started by Gerard Heineken
• To brew their beer Heineken uses a pure strain of
  yeast called-Heineken A yeast
• The symbol to the left was the first sign used by
  the Heineken brewery

• This is a picture of Gerard Adriaan Heineken the
  founding father of Heineken beer.

Facts about Heineken Beer

• Heineken is drank in 170 different countries
• Heinekens alcohol percentage is a little over 5
• It has three ingredients pure water, barley, and
  hops

Pouring a perfect Heineken

• To begin the process the beer must be poured at
  the right temperature about 6 to 8 degrees C.
  (Sorry dont know what it is in Fahrenheit.)
  Second create a 1.5cm head on the bottom, then
  slowly pour the beer on the side of the glass,
  straightening it as it fills. The head should
  finish about 4cm from the top of the glass. This
  helps to retain the aroma and taste, and prevents
  the beer from oxidizing.
