Title: General John Stark

1
General John Stark
  • An exhibit of the Live Free and Compute
  • PT3 project

2
Introduction
  • This website was designed to meet the educational
needs of fourth grade students. We wanted our
students to learn about one of the most famous
New Hampshire historical characters and the
origin of the State Motto. Our research
indicated that existing websites that relate to
John Stark have a readability that is beyond the
comprehension of most fourth grade students. Our
team felt it worthwhile to design a website in
which the content is geared towards an elementary
    audience.

  • online sources. The information
  • was compiled and rewritten to
  • match fourth grade reading levels.
  • The team visited the Stark Home, the
  • family graveyard and photographed
  • various sites in Manchester and then
  • created the website.

  • emphasize the most important aspects of this
    topic.
