• Center the MaxxAir Vent Cover over the roof vent
• Louver area faces the rear of the vehicle.
• Trace location of the slots.

• Position a mounting bracket on your roof
• Place the mounting brackets as close as possible
  to the outside corner of your existing roof vent
  frame.

• Mark the location of the screw hole.
• Drill through the roof vent frame.
• Fasten the bracket to the roof vent.
• Install two brackets on each side of your roof
  vent as shown in the drawing.

• Fasten the Vent Cover using the large washers and
  hex nuts provided.

• Why can't I install an Original Maxxair Vent
  Cover over my high-powered ceiling fans?
• The Original Maxxair Vent Cover was designed to
  cover a standard roof vent or small bathroom
  fan/vent. Our Fan/Mate models 400 800 are
  designed specifically to cover high volume
  fan-powered vents with less restriction to
  airflow.

• I have a Fantastic fan with rain sensor in my RV.
  Can I mount a Standard MaxxAir Vent over the fan?
  
• Our Fan/Mate product is the only one recommended
  to cover a Fantastic Fan. We emphasize it is not
  suggested to install a standard MaxxAir Vent on
  high volume fans.

• How can I clean the inside of the vent cover and
  the vent lid without climbing the roof and
  removing the vent cover?
• You need to go on the roof no matter what kind of
  cover you have up there. The good news is that
  our vent cover has only four 7/16 nuts that hold
  it in place, simply remove the nuts and the whole
  unit including the cover is completely exposed
  for cleaning.

• My camper has a Fantastic Fan installed in the
  bathroom vent. I cannot install the MaxxAir
  brackets to the vent with the nuts/bolts/lock
  washers provided since the housing of the fan
  blocks access. Is there an alternative? Thanks
• Our Fan/Mate products are the only vent covers we
  recommended to cover a Fantastic Fan. We
  emphasize it is not suggested to install a
  standard MaxxAir Vent on high volume fans. The
  Standard Maxxair does not come with hardware for
  mounting over a Fantastic Fan.
